Sr. Trojans dominant in NDA soccer final

From opening kickoff it was all West Ferris over Scollard Hall.

The defending Senior Boys NDA and NOSSA champions took control of the game and cruised to a 6-0 victory.

In all six different players got their names on the score sheet.

They included Cory Tester, Chris Hodges, Adam Leblanc, Alex Peltier Rob Tiller, Shayne Karn. Tyler Cowden got the shutout for the Trojans and credited his teammates after the game.

“I mean it’s pretty easy when you have a great team like that and great coaches, we probably have the best players in North Bay on our team,” said Cowden.

Coach Paul Cook told his players after the game that they are very close to achieving their season goal.

“We had high expectations for this season, we had 16 returning players from the team that won the NDA and NOSSA, so that was the goal we set to defend out league title, defend the NDA crown and defend NOSSA so, we’re 2/3 of the way there,” said Cook.

The Trojans have only a few days to prepare for the Northern championship, which will be held in North Bay beginning Monday.
