Sport North Bay hosting event (new)

Sport North Bay is hosting another event Wednesday at the Widdifield Secondary School auditorium.

Titled ‘All Kids Need To Play’, a panel will discuss how kids can benefit from accessible playtime, the barriers to participation and the potential solutions.

Guest panelists include: Kelly Brown, WSS principal and former runner; Alison Herst, Olympic paddler; Suzanne Kaye, Big Sisters of North Bay; Dave Saad, past president Canadian Parks and Recreation Association; Dwight Anthony, soccer coach; Linda McLay, Children’s Aid Society and North Bay Coun. Dave Mendicino.

Input from the audience will also be encouraged.

This is also part of the Caring Communities Week activities.

It’s scheduled for a two-hour time frame, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sport North Bay officials are hoping for large turn out.
