Sons slip by Trappers

The Nickel City Sons defeated the North Bay Trappers 6-5 in the first half of a home and home series Saturday at the Balfour arena in Chelmsford.

The Nickel City Sons defeated the North Bay Trappers 6-5 in the first half of a home and home series Saturday at the Balfour arena in Chelmsford.

Roch Pellerin scored twice for the Trappers while Mitchell Davis, Nick Huard and Liam Berti added singles in the loss.

Marc Bastien paced the Sons offence with two goals while Adam Ritchie, Nathan Beer, Brian Villeneuve and Serge Broullette also scored for Nickel City.

The two teams play the second half of the home and home series Sunday afternoon at West Ferris arena. Game time is 1:20 p.m.
