The North Bay Skyhawks scored 4 straight goals in the third period en route to a 7-4 victory over the Blind River Beavers Saturday night at the Blind River Community Centre.

The Skyhawks spread out their scoring with 7 different goal scorers including Alex Valenti, Solomon McCann, Dustin Fummerton, Nathaniel Vail, Justin Villeneuve, Joel Senecal, and Ryan Loach.

It was a slow start for the 'Hawks who were tied 0-0 after 1 and 3-3 after 2.

"We didn't start our best," admitted Skyhawks head coach Ian Swalucynski.

"We were trying to find our identity again. They played too cute and I tell them when we try to grind it out it always works."

Swalucynski also felt the team may have been looking ahead of themselves as Sunday the Skyhawks are back home to face the Western Division leading Soo Thunderbirds.
