The North Bay Skyhawks have signed two players, bringing the number under contract for the 2008-09 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League season to 16.

The newest Skyhawks are former members of Calgary Midget 'AA' Buffaloes of the Alberta Midget Hockey League.

Joining the Hawks for the 2008-09 season are a pair of defencemen, 18-year-old, 6'1", 190-pound Andrew Glasser and 18-year-old, 6'2" blueliner Matt Regier.

Skyhawks head coach Ian Swalucynski is pleased with the teams latest acquisitions.

"Glasser is a great skater with a huge offensive upside," said Swalucynski.

"He'll provide us with offense from the back end. Regier is a very physical stay-at-home D-man who should help in that area."
