Skyhawks fall in shootout

Tyler Dedecker scored as the Blind River Beavers fifth shooter to help give the Blind River Beavers a 4-3 shootout victory over the North Bay Skyhawks Saturday night at the Blind River Community Centre.

The Beavers outscored the Skyhawks 2-1 in the shootout. Justin Roy scored the only shootout goal for the Skyhawks.

Kody Carnevale, Justin Roy and Corey Park scored in regulation for the Skyhawks.

Travis Savard scored twice for the Beavers. Jarrett Burton scored the other goal for the Beavers in regulation.

The Skyhawks badly outshot the Beavers 45-28 on the night.

Ian Wilson took the loss in goal for the Skyhawks as he stopped 25 saves in regulation.

The Skyhawks hope to bounce back after back-to-back losses as they host the Manitoulin Islanders Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
