Nick Kulas scored two goals to lead the North Bay Skyhawks to a 3-2 victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds Friday night in the Soo.
Jon Ryan added the other Skyhawk goal. The win brings the locals within eight points of the league leading Sudbury Jr. Wolves; with a record of 15-8.
The Skyhawks go across the river to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on Saturday as they take on the Northern Michigan Black Bears and then on Sunday they conclude their 3 games in 3 days road trip with a match in Little Current against the Manitoulin Islanders.
