Nik Priebe and Aliaksei Kulikouskiy scored for the Skyhawks in the loss.

The Lumber Kings used the powerplay to their advantage scoring four of their five goals with the extra man.

The Skyhawks fell 3-2 to the Lumber Kings on home ice on Wednesday night.

Despite the loss, Skyhawks head coach Darren Turcotte was fairly upbeat about his team's performance in Pembroke.

"We played decent considering the line-up we had," said Turcotte noting that six regulars sat out for the visiting Skyhawks while the Lumber Kings suited up 9 regulars from last year's line-up.

"We need to work on our penalty kill but the guys battled and competed," Turcotte added.

The Skyhawks are back on home ice on Sunday night when they entertain the Seguin Bruins. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
