The Skyhawks pulled the trigger on a pair of deals that sent unhappy forwards Cory Park and John Seymour on the move in return for a pair of defencemen and a power forward.

In one portion of the deal the Skyhawks acquired defenceman Chad Jones from the Lindsay Muskies of the OPJHL. In 17 games with the Muskies, Jones had 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points along with 28 penalty minutes.

In the other part of the deal the Skyhawks get a pair of players from the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Cory Demko is described as a solid puck moving defenceman who can take care of his own end.

The 19-year-old had 1 goal and 3 assists in 16 games with the Stars this season.

At 6'4", Trent Lizee brings some major league size up front for the Skyhawks. The Stars described Lizee as a positionally smart power forward that's willing to mix it up. In 15 games with the Stars, Lizee had 1 goal and 3 assists along with 36 penalty minutes.

The three new players skate with their new teammates for the first time Thursday night at practice.
