The Sturgeon Falls Builders gave the North Bay Stingers their first loss of the season with a 12-2 win in North Bay Senior Baseball League action, Monday, at Veterans Field. Paul Theoret was the winning pitcher for Sturgeon Falls, while Dale Valade suffered the loss.

Matt Patry had a key three-run double in the second inning to ignite the Builders. Miguel Champagne had the lone hit for the Stingers.

Skater's Edge got back on track with a 10-1 win over the Carte Blanche Rotarians in North Bay Senior Baseball league action, Monday.

Joey Rainer picked up the win, a complete-game four-hitter with nine strikeouts. Carte Blanche led 1-0 up until fifth inning, when Skater's Edge rallied for six runs. Jim Daly led the way offensively, smacking three hits, including a double and a triple. Nick Rivet and Daly each added with 3 RBIs, while Rainer, Travis Kivimaki and Sean O'Kane had two hits each.

Carte Blanche starter Marcel Maissoneuve was untouchable through the first four innings, recording seven
strikeouts.
