Senior Baseball All-Star game

The United Rentals Senior Baseball League Executive is pleased to announce that the league will play two all star showcase games on Wednesday August 5th at Veteran’s Field. The evening will see two all star games take place.
The United Rentals Senior Baseball League Executive is pleased to announce that the league will play two all star showcase games on Wednesday August 5th at Veteran’s Field.
The evening will see two all star games take place. The first game will see and all star team comprised of players in the league that are 19 and under. They will play against Carte Blanche Rotarians which is a team made up of totally 19 and under players. The second game will feature player 4 players from Astorville Lumber Kings, United Rentals, Sturgeon Falls Builders and Bull and Quench. They will play against the Terrace Suites Selects currently the first place team in the league.

The idea behind the game is to showcase the quality of the league and to let any perspective players interested in playing next year to come out and see the calibre of the league.

“We have had inquiries from two teams for next year which will see the league grow from 3 teams 4 years ago to possibly 10 in 2006,” said league convenor Dave Saad.

“The competition level is quite good and the two games should prove to be very entertaining for any baseball enthusiasts.”

The first game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. followed by the second game at 8:30 p.m. A social will follow at the Bull and Quench.

Lineups for the teams will be announced later in the week.
