The North Bay Trappers came out hitting in a heated game against the Rayside Sabrecats at West Ferris arena Saturday night in which the Cats snuck out of North Bay with a 4-3 OT victory thanks to an Owen Peltier goal in the extra frame.

Some questionable penalty calls and flaring tempers assisted the Trapper's 4-3 overtime loss to the Sabrecats. Only 1:11 into the first, Trapper Matthew Thompson left the game with a game misconduct for hitting from behind. Late in the second, Jordon Scott followed in the footsteps of his teammate, also getting ejected for hitting from behind.

Jordan Scott, Joel Senecal and Tyler Hummel scored for the Trappers.

The Trappers began the third all fired up after Peter Easton got ejected for roughing up the Sabrecats and defending teammate Jordan Scott.

"Easton is one of the griddiest, unselfish hockey players on this team, I wish they all could learn something," said Trappers head coach John Couch after the game.

Couch believes that the loss of Thompson, Scott, and
Easton will not affect the team in the playoffs because the three are due to return.

Catch the Trappers final regular season game Sunday night at 5:20 p.m. as they take on Kirkland Lake at West Ferris arena.
