The Temiscaming Royals continue to build their NOJHL roster by signing four more players on Wednesday including one returning defenceman and three forwards.

Defenceman Rylan Henley returns for his second season in Temiscaming. Last year the 18-year-old Longlac, Ontario native recorded 8 goals and 28 assists totaling 36 points in 33 games.

Forward Brad Clark comes to the Royals after an impressive campaign with the Deseronto Storm where the 20-year-old Deseronto product scored 46 times and added 48 helpers in 39 games with the GMHL club, while finishing 3rd overall in league scoring. The Royals added Clark’s teammate, 18-year-old Andrew Bobas, who fired home 15 goals and 43 assists in 36 games with the Deseronto club last year.

The Royals also inked forward Kory Cashaback. The 18-year-old Cochrane, Ontario native notched 22 goals and 24 assists in 40 games last season with the Nipissing Alouettes.

Royals coach and G.M. Steve McCharles believes the signings are a big step forward for the new NOJHL franchise.

“This group, including Chris Shawanda and the returning players from Northwestern Quebec that we anticipate signing while at the Rouyn-Noranda camp this weekend, puts us far ahead of last year with respect to depth and talent,” said McCharles.

The Royals will hit the ice this weekend when they host an evaluation camp on Saturday, July 26th and Sunday July, 27th in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.
