The Nipissing Alouettes shipped forward Corey Raymond and defenceman Rylan Henley to the expansion Temiscaming Royals in exchange for future considerations.

Henley recently won the Garrett Hamel award for the Greater Metro Junior League player with the most heart. The Longlac, Ontario native scored 9 goals and added 18 assists for 27 points in 37 games with the Als last season.

Raymond spent part of last year with the Widdifield Wildcats and played four regular season games for the Alouettes.

Temiscaming Royals head coach and G.M. Steve McCharles coached both players last season with the Als.

"He has a chance to be one of the top five defencemen in the entire league," McCharles said about Henley.

McCharles also believes Temiscaming, QC native Corey Raymond will make an impact and be a key forward this fall with the Royals. McCharles feels Raymond can be a leader on the expansion team as he will likely wear the "C" this fall.
