The Temiscaming Royals were shown a lesson on passing, shooting and puck possession on Friday night as the Russian Selects defeated the Royals 9-3 in front of more than 700 fans at the Centre in Temiscaming.

Chris Hebert led the Royals offence with a nifty second period goal and an assist. Cory Marquardt and Cedric Boultin had the other goals for the Royals.

The Russian squad - an All-Star squad made up of University level hockey players - is on a tour playing clubs from the Greater Metro Junior "A" league.
