Royals get lucky number 7

Former Trapper Darcy Vaillancourt had three goals to lead the unbeaten Temiscaming Royals to a 7-4 victory over the Richmond Hill Rams in Greater Metro Junior Hockey action Sunday afternoon at Le Centre in Temiscaming.

Rylan Henley, Corey Raymond, Cedric Boutin and Brandon Blanche also scored for the Royals.

North Bay native Bryan Lawson was solid in goal for the Royals as he turned aside 41 of the 45 Rams shots that he faced.

Andrew Wills, Matt Morra, Sean Moffat and Tyler Callen scored for the Rams.

With the win the Royals solidify their spot on top of the league standings with a perfect 7-0 record.

The Temiscaming Royals next game is Friday, October 5th at Elliot Lake, then at home versus the Espanola Kings on Sunday, October 14th @ 2:30 p.m.
