SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - The Temiscaming Royals fought back from three one goal deficits but eventually fell 4-3 in the shootout to the Soo Eagles in NOJHL action at the Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan Friday night.

Guillaume Piche was solid in goal for the Royals making more than 40 stops in regulation. However, the Royals netminder was not as successful during the shootout as he allowed both Eagles shooters to beat him - R.J. Kleiman first and Jeremy Christopher sealed the victory after Royals shooters Felix Gilbert and Brad Clark were stopped by Sean Ladouce.

Chris Shawanda, Brad Clark and Pier-Paul Landry scored for the Royals in regulation.

Jake Watchorn, Brett Brazier and R.J. Kleiman scored for the Eagles.

The Royals gain a single point and move to 2-4-2 on the season. The Temiscaming squad heads back across the St. Mary's River to play the Soo Thunderbirds Saturday night.
