The Carte Blanche Rotarians staved off elimination with a 13–12 come from behind win over Sturgeon Falls Builders in game 2 of the best-of-3 United Rentals Senior Baseball League final.

The Rotarians jumped out to a 10-2 lead only to see Sturgeon Falls come back and take a 11- 10 lead going into the 6th inning Carte Blanche scored 3 runs in the 6th to regain the lead with Sturgeon scoring a single run in their half of the 6th.

With two out in the bottom of the 7th Matt Patry hit a shot to left centre that dropped in. St. Aubin attempted to score on the play and was gunned down at the plate for the final out of the game.

St. Aubin lead Sturgeon Falls with 2 home runs and three hits. Marty Shank had 2 hits for Sturgeon Falls.

Nick Gordon got the win in relief of Nick Cicci. Brian Finner had three hits for the winners. Gordon had 2 hits and scored three runs.

The deciding game will be played on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at Veteran’s Field.
