Registration for North Bay Youth Lacrosse League

The North Bay Youth Lacrosse League will be taking registration at Skaters Edge on Monday May 31st and Tuesday, June 1st from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The North Bay Youth Lacrosse Organization will launch a six week summer league starting June 21st.

“With such a great response to the Lakers Lacrosse Camp it was logical that the next step would be to put together a summer lacrosse league,” said Moe Bedard, President of the North Bay Youth Lacrosse League.

“Introducing a new sport to North Bay and putting together a league comes with its challenges. We are currently looking for volunteers to coach, ref and help with various roles. We are fortunate enough to have two individuals with plenty of lacrosse experience to put on free coaching and ref clinics.”

Dates and details for the clinic will be released shortly.

For the first year the North Bay Youth Lacrosse Organization will run a league for youth ages 5 to 17 years old with plans of adding a division for adults next season. In order to keep the cost of registration low the Organization has opted to go without goalies in replace for net boards.

“We are hoping that in future years the league will be able to afford to purchase goalie equipment for each team,” said Moe Bedard. “For now we want the players to focus on learning and acquiring the fundamentals of the sport of lacrosse.”

Registration Monday May 31st & Tuesday, June 1st 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Skater’s Edge on Fisher St.
League Fee $85 (includes tax) per Individual

League Schedule

The league will run for 6 weeks; Monday - Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 starting June 21st

2 teams (30 spots, 15 per team) 5-6 yr olds (limited spots)
4 teams (120 spots, 15 per team) 7-9 yr olds
4 teams (120 spots, 15 per team) 10-13 yr olds
4 teams (120 spots, 15 per team) 14-17 yr olds
