Provincial Bowling Championships in North Bay

North Bay is hosting the Northern Ontario 5 pin Open Provincial Championships from March 19th -22nd at Partner's Billiards & Bowling. The action starts on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with the Singles event and carrying on into the night with the mixed teams taking to the lanes at 8:00 p.m. The bowling continues on Thursday morning with the Ladies and Men's teams starting at 9:00 a.m. The teams will bowl on Friday, with the step ladder and the finals being held for teams and singles starting Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Six zones will compete for the Northern Ontario spot at the Nationals to be held in Hamilton from May 28th to the 31st. Representing the Gateway Contingent will be:

Men's team: *Mike Stoddart, *Steve Mayer, *Chris Bissonnette, James Restoule, Michael Thomas and Marc Bedard. Coach Jamie Hendry

Ladies team: *Candace Hogan,*Wanda Violette,*Jen Alford, Micheline Barbe, Angela James and Pat Alford. Coach Jeremie Lacroix

Mixed team: Kevin Mantha, Jonathan Rivard,Barry Tremblay, Roberte Perreault, Debbie Ruck and Pat Hosking. Coach Hugh Cosgrove.
