The North Bay and District Pee Wee 'AAA' Trappers were in action over the weekend in Timmins where they played three games against the Timmins Storm.

Game 1 was a low scoring affair that saw Timmins take a 1-0 lead into the 1st period on the back of some strong goaltending from the Storm goalie as the Trappers had many chances but could not bury it. The Storm made it a 2 goal lead early in the 3rd, with North Bay hitting the score sheet 2 minutes later on a goal from Lucas Brown, assisted by Steven Leveque and Cohen Allison. However, North Bay could get no closer and the game ended 3-1 for Timmins.

Game 2 saw the Trappers out to an early lead in the 1st period on a goal from Adam Fulton who was assisted by Brown and Leveque. The 1 goal held until the second period when Timmins launched a 4 goal outburst, one of which was a penalty shot that trickled in after Trapper goalie Adam D'Agostino got a piece of it. The Trappers were only able to answer with a marker from Tyler Peters assisted by Leveque.

Timmins finished out the scoring late in the 3rd for 5-2 win.

In game 3 a fired up North Bay team hit the ice and jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Leveque and Peters. Defensively the Trappers dominated the Storm, greatly limiting the chances given up in the first two games. Timmins scored two early in the 2nd. However, the Trappers blew the game open with a 4 goal period with goals from Fulton Brown(2) and Leveque. Assists went Brown, Peters, Leveque and Fraser Duhaime(2).

In the 3rd period the Trappers found themselves in a bit of penalty trouble and allowed Timmins a bit of life with 2 goals. The Trappers tightened things up and held the Storm off for 7-4 win.

Coach John Couch had these comments on the weekend games:

"This Weekend in Timmins we fell short on our effort for the first 2 games but then in the third game we came out hard and gave an honest effort in all three periods. Our hard hat award winners included Grant Hatherley, Cody Sutcliffe and Jackson Newman. It was nice to see the boys pull together for the final game, we were very happy with the speed, positional play and our special teams on Sunday," said Couch.
