The peewee house league girl ICEBOLTZ won gold this past weekend in the North Bay Blue Sky Classic Tournament. The girls were in a division facing 5 Sudbury Girls Teams.


The peewee house league girl ICEBOLTZ won gold this past weekend in the North Bay Blue Sky Classic Tournament.

The girls were in a division facing 5 Sudbury Girls Teams.

In the opening game the Girls palyed well but lost a heart breaker 2-1 when Sudbury Just lubes scored with 15 second remaining. Saturday morning the girls came out flying and and beat Sudbury U floor me 3-0 they then faced Hite Services team and won a convincing 4-2 game. The semi- final game was a rematch with the Just Lubes team and the girls fought hard and avenged there only previous loss by scoring with 12 seconds left in game and won 2-1.

The final pitted the girls against the only undefeated team in division The Sudbury Northern Adventure Camp and the girls again brought there 'A' game, as the game went back and fourth up and down ice. The game was 1-1 with time dwindling as a quick passing play put the girls up a goal with 10 seconds left in regualation. Victory was theirs.

The girls played an outstanding team game all weekend. The team players are goaltenders Amanda Tschanz and Heather Thomas, with skaters Cassidy Chowns, Jennilee Peplinskie, Presley Young, Krysten Palfrey, Brooke Dutrisac, Carla White, Sarah Major, Veronica Campbell, Brooklyn ladouceur, Dominique Rivet, Bailee Hennigar, Holly Jonson, April Major, Celins Tessier. Coaches Gerry Major, Frank Rivet, Mike Peplinskie, Trainer Chantal Tessier and Manager Leslie Burn.
