NEW LISKEARD - West Ferris Big Brothers Peewee "A" Bandits reeled off five straight wins to capture the Armstrong Motors Challenge Cup Peewee "A" championship this past weekend here. Defence played a huge role in the games with the Bandits allowing only three goals against with goaltenders Michael Carr and Jonathan Goulet both registering shutouts. Coach Mike Dinezza felt the players saved their best game of the tournament for the final. They met up with host Temiskaming Shores Pederson Peewee "A" Puckhounds and defeated them 6 - 1. Dinezza feels the team is just starting to peak at the right time with the Peewee "A" NOHA Tournament of Champions coming up March 2nd to 4th back in New Liskeard. The Bandits are having asuccessful season having also claimed the Almaguin Tournament, the Bell Cup, and most recently being crowned Bantam House League Regular Season Champions.
