Peewee AAA Trappers open first round of playoffs

The North Bay Peewee AAA Trappers competed in the first round of their league playoffs this past weekend hosting the Soo Reps for the first 2 games of the best-of-five series.

The Trappers first game was held in Powassan Friday evening. The Trappers played a solid game but were unable to convert on many scoring opportunities and dropped the first game 4-1.

The Trappers rebounded Sunday morning with a solid all around team effort and dominated the Soo team from the opening face-off taking the game 5-1.

The Trappers continue the series in the Soo next weekend. The winner of the series will go on to play in the league final against either the Nickel City Sons or the Sudbury Junior Wolves.
