The Franco-Cité Patriotes junior volleyball squad won the NOSSA ‘A’ championship held at Franco-Cité last week. The team went undefeated during round robin play with wins over École secondaire Algonquin, Central Algoma and École secondaire Champlain before winning the title in two straights sets over Central Algoma by scores of 25-14 and 25-8.
In senior action, the Patriotes also went undefeated during round robin play with wins over Lively, F.J. McElligott and Central Algoma before bowing out in the final against the Lively Hawks. The NOSSA tournament brings to an end a wonderful season for both squads.
