The Franco-Cité Patriotes scored twice in the third period to overcome a 2-1 deficit earning a 3-2 win over the Algonquin Barons in NDA hockey action on Thursday night in Verner. Justin Boutin scored twice to lead the Patriotes while Pierre Séguin added a single. Devin McGirr and Andrew St-George scored for the Barons.

Phil Beaudry picked up the win in goal making 14 saves while Stéphane Chaput took the loss stopping 34 shots.

The Patriotes are back in action on Saturday night as they host the West Ferris Trojans in Sturgeon Falls while the Barons host the Raiders at Memorial Gardens.
