CHANGCHUN, CHINA – North Bay's Steve Omischl struggled to a 5th place finish in the FIS Freestyle World Cup event on Saturday.

Omischl, along with a number of other jumpers struggled with the windy conditions. He battled the changing wind speeds on the in-run before finishing 5th.

High winds forced cancellation of the men’s aerials event Friday, when the women managed to complete a one-jump final.

Omischl's teammate Warren Shouldice of Calgary captured the bronze medal.
