The North Bay Trappers are on the verge of elimination after dropping another 6-1 decision in the best of five series to the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars in game two of the Great North Midget League Final Saturday afternoon.

Marc Senecal scored the Trappers lone goal in a game played at the Soo Memorial Gardens. Trevor McNutt scored twice for the the North Stars in the win.

The win comes on the heels of another 6-1 defeat Friday night at the hands of the North Stars.

The Soo powerhouse had only one regular season loss all season long, but the Trappers did knock off the league's elite back in September winning 4-3 in overtime, perhaps something the Trappers will try to rekindle if they want to extend the series.

The Trappers will get some rest as they won't play again until next Saturday back at the friendly confines of West Ferris Arena.

The eventual GNML champion will advance to the regional playdowns being held Mar. 28-Apr. 3 in North York with the winner from there advancing to the national championships.
