North Bay Sr. teams fall at NOSSA but Jr. Bears prevail

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears Jr. Boys team was the only North Bay team to come out victorious on Monday at the NOSSA soccer championships in North Bay.

Anthony Nucara scored twice and Anthony Trozzo was credited with the shutout as the Jr. Bears defeated Lockerby Composite 2-0 in the NOSSA Jr. 'AAA' Final at Rollie Fischer field Monday afternoon.

Franco-Cite was victorious in the Jr. Boys 'A' Final on Monday morning as the Patriotes edged St. Benedicts 3-2.

Travis Emond, Jean-Philippe Primeau and Mathieu Trottier scored for the Pats in the win.

Bears, Cats, Barons fall

The day started really rough for North Bay Senior Boys teams as the NDA champion West Ferris Trojans were upset 3-2 by White Pines in the NOSSA 'AA' semi-final.
