North Bay runners finish 1-2-3 at NOSSA

The Walters twins continued their domination of cross country running as the West Ferris duo finished first and second in the NOSSA Senior Boys Cross Country race which took place in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.

Matt Walters finished with a time of 23:55:72 and his brother Nick finished in second at 23:55:72.

Algonquin's Benoit Boulay finished off the North Bay sweep of the top three positions with a time of 24:27:65.

This was the third consecutive year that the Walters twins have finished one - two in the NOSSA Senior division.

The West Ferris Boys teams won the boys aggregate title with both the junior and the senior teams qualifying to compete at OFSAA next weekend in Niagara Falls.

Other North Bay medal winners were: Dominique Chartrand of Algonquin with a silver (18:45:77) in the girls junior division and Brooke Kanmacher of Widdifield with a bronze (18:54:30) in the same girls junior division.
