More than 135 skiers from across northern Ontario descended on Laurentian Ski Hill for the 2nd Annual Laurentian Ski Classic this weekend.
Hosted by the North Bay Antoine Ski Racing Club (NBASR) and Laurentian Ski Hill, racers ranged in age from five to 11 years and participated in both slalom and giant slalom races.
Athletes and their families came from Sault St. Marie, Elliot Lake and Sudbury to compete at one of Canada’s only ski hills in the middle of a city and enjoy North Bay’s hospitality.
North Bay Antoine Ski Racers (NBASR) swept the podium in both the slalom and giant slalom U6 girls with Audrey Chute winning gold, Tehya Kennedy silver and Emma Chute bronze.
Thomas Chute won bronze in giant slalom for the U10 boys.
