Norkum sinks T-Birds in OT

Brad Norkum scored with less than 30 seconds remaining in overtime to give the North Bay Skyhawks a 5-4 victory over the Soo Thunderbirds at Memorial Gardens on Friday night.

Joe Trotter, Brad Hummel, Josh Diamond and Nathan Hewitt scored in regulation for the Skyhawks.

Norkum's goal spoiled a three goal performance by Soo forward Brett Perlini, giving him 31 goals on the season.

Matt Conway scored the other T-birds goal.
