The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that they will be hosting the NOJHL Showcase Oct. 11-12 at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex in Sudbury.

The two-day event will feature all 12 NOJHL teams, including the Powassan Voodoos, taking part and will see each league member club competing in two games apiece that will count towards the overall regular season standings.

In hosting the league Showcase, it will allow scouts, fans and the like the opportunity to see all 12 NOJHL member clubs compete in the same venue during two days of competition.

“We at the NOJHL are extremely excited to announce the participation of all 12 of our teams at the Showcase in October in Sudbury,” stated league commissioner Robert Mazzuca.

“By having our entire league competing under one roof over these two days it will provide an excellent opportunity for scouts at every level to view all our players and NOJHL clubs face-off at a fast-paced and competitive environment,” added Mazzuca.

“With a record number of NOJHLers moving on to compete at the next level the past couple of season, be it through the NCAA, the CHL or other leagues, the NOJHL Showcase will only help further enhance one of our goals of helping promote all of our players, coaches and officials in their efforts of advancing in their respective hockey and academic careers,” summarized the NOJHL commissioner.
