The NOHA All-Stars were victimized by a player who will likely be playing in the North next fall. John McFarlane scored three times to lead the Toronto Jr. Canadiens to a 9-1 victory over the NOHA squad in the All-Stars first game of the OHL Cup Showcase Tournament taking place in Mississauga.

McFarlane - expected to go #1 overall in the OHL draft - will likely be chosen by the Sudbury Wolves this spring as they hold the top pick in the draft.

Some OHL scouts claim at least 5 players from the Canadiens roster will be drafted in the first round of the OHL Draft this spring.

Nickel City Sons forward Adam Ritchie scored the lone goal for the North.

Trappers forward Mitchell Davis had one assist, while Trappers goalie Tanner Davis was in goal for the loss.

The NOHA team coached by Beau Moyer, is made up of minor midget aged Great North Midget League players from the Trappers, New Liskeard Cubs, Nickel City Sons, Timmins Majors and Kirkland Lake 87's.

The NOHA All-Stars next game is Thursday morning against the Halton Hurricanes.
