Steve Omischl finished 24th at a World Cup event on Sunday in Mont Gabriel, Quebec.
Omischl's poor finish was the only down point on the day for Canada's freestyle aerial team which captured the top four spots including gold for Calgary's Kyle Nissen.
Omischl, who was the only Canadian aerialist to have clinched an Olympic team berth entering the weekend, missed the final after trying a relatively new jump – a quad-twisting triple somersault with two twists on the last flip. Marked down for his landing, he placed 24th.
North Bay's Manual Holden finished 37th.
