NDA Soccer regular season winding down

The Algonquin Barons Sr. boys soccer team completed their regular season schedule with a 4-0 win against Northern S.S.
The Algonquin Barons Sr. boys soccer team completed their regular season schedule with a 4-0 win against Northern S.S. Phil Dufresne provided the shut out goaltending and single goals went to Jean-Michel Paulin, Jamie Sneddon Matt Cheaney and Eric Huard. The Barons now prepare for their quarter-final match-up on Wednesday.

Tim Preston and Rob Tiller scored twice to lead the West Ferris Trojans to a 5-2 win over the Franco-Cite Patriotes. Cam Boake had the other goal for the Trojans.

Jean-Philippe Primeau and Marc-Andre Seguin scored for Franco.

The Widdifield Wildcats continued their solid play with a convincing 6-0 win over the Chippewa Raiders.

Adam Fielder scored three times for the Wildcats. Ben Moreau, Jesse Moreau and Jake Callahan had the other goals for the Wildcats.

Junior Boys

The Algonquin Barons junior boys soccer team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over the Saint Joseph- Scollard Hall Bears on Wednesday evening. Goal scorers for Algonquin were Simon Tessier with a pair and Max Roberston added a single, Darius Tignanelli replied for the Bears.

The Barons now prepare to face the Widdifield Wildcats on Friday afternoon.

In other Junior Boys play, the West Ferris Trojans and Franco-Cite Patriotes ended in a 2-2 draw. Jeremy Coish and Curtis Devlin were the scorers for the Trojans. Jacob Proulx and Jean-Marc Michaud replied for the Pats.
