In NDA junior soccer action Friday, the Scollard Hall Bears traveled to West Ferris today to finish off the regular season schedule.

From the opening whistle, the Trojans were out to prove that they can compete with the Bears that beat them 3-1 in a previous match this season. West Ferris found the net quickly and often in the first half, and took a 4-0 after 45 minutes. Leading the way in the first half for the Trojans was Scott Pawson with two, and single goals to Zach Deschenes and Skylar Hennigar. Brad Cauchy made several key stops in the net for the Trojans in the first half, including one on a penalty kick.

The Trojans played good defensively in the second half to hold the Bears to a single goal by Noah O'Rouke, and came away with the 4-1 victory.

With the win, the Trojans snatched second spot in the standings, and earned the right to host the semi-final rematch between the two clubs next week.

Playoffs in junior action begin next week with Widdifield hosting Franco Cite in the quarter final with the winner to play against the undefeated Algonquin Barons in the semi-final. The other semi-final has West Ferris hosting Scollard Hall.
