The Franco-Cité Patriotes wrapped up a home and home exhibition series with the Algonquin Barons with a 5-2 win in Verner on Sunday night in NDA hockey action.
The Franco-Cité Patriotes wrapped up a home and home exhibition series with the Algonquin Barons with a 5-2 win in Verner on Sunday night in NDA hockey action.

The Patriotes got two goals from Jean-Philippe Primeau and Mathieu Ouellette while Jesse Beaudry added a single. Primeau, Marc-André Bouffard and Alain Desbois each added two assists in the win. Niko Loeffen and Michel Bédard scored for the Barons.

Patrick Labelle and Ricky Guay split the duties in goal for the Pats while Jonathan Goulet and Julien Bondy did the same for the Barons.

The Patriotes had won the previous contest last weekend in North Bay by a 4-3 score. Both teams kick off the regular season schedule as they face each other on Wednesday night at Memorial Gardens. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
