Good defence and solid hits from Matt Blanchfield,Chris Depencier,Brady St-Jean, Brad Berube and Miguel Champagne led the Algonquin Barons to a 7-2 win over the visiting Northern Braves at Veteran's field on Wednesday in game 6 of the NDA exhibition baseball season.
Algonquin's Brad Berube registered 6 strikeouts over 3 innings for the win followed by Matt Blanchfield with 3 strikeouts.
Braves' starting pitcher Steve Watson along with his relief pitchers combined for 7 strikeouts,a base hit by Watson sparked a 2 run 5th inning for the Braves.
Game 7 is Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears.
