NDA Baseball - Barons open with big win over Trojans

The defending NDA baseball champs opened the season with a bang by defeating the West Ferris Trojans 13-6 on Monday night at Veteran’s Field.  

Barons pitcher Jesse Kirkby had 6 strikeouts for the win in relief of Barons starter Jordan Kennedy. 

The Barons pulled away in the third inning scoring nine times.  

Eric Mondoux had a pair of hits in the win for the Barons while Holden Drouin had a triple for the Trojans in the loss as the West Ferris team moves to 1-1 while Barons win in their opener to go to 1-0. 

In the late game, FJ McElligott defeated the Widdifield Wildcats 13-7.
