The West Ferris Big Brothers and Sisters Peewee A Trappers competed in the A Division of the Muskoka Rock Tournament this past weekend.

All the games were played in Bala and Port Carling.

The Trappers started off the tournament with an excellent game Friday against Muskoka Rock and the Trappers were victorious with a 5-1 win.

Saturday morning started with a great game against the Ayr Flames. They played as a team, and the Trappers won their second game 3-2.

The next game was a close 1-0 win against the Ripley Wolves. They remained undefeated, and were only half a point away from putting the Trappers in first place.

They went into the championship finals Sunday afternoon with a nail biting game against the Pontiac Lions.

Both teams played hard! The Trappers were down 1-0 until the third period, where they were able to tie it up.

They went into overtime where both teams couldn't score. Unfortunately the Lions came out on top in the shootout and the Trappers were handed silver medals.

The Trappers' goalies, Teaken Brazeau and Jack McKay, both played amazing games throughout the weekend, earning them each MVP awards.

Meantime, the defence remained strong with Braden Villeneuve, Joshua Devost, Aidan Hummel and Ethan Rockburn.

The offence was led by our two centres Abram Snider and Riley Perron.

Also contributing on forward were Blake Norman, Sloan Schiavo, Ethan Scott, Noah St Denis, Lucien Landriault and Emilie Perron.
The coaching staff includes head coach Jamie Norman, assistant coaches Rob Landriault and Luc Villeneuve and Manager Nicole Devost.
