OTTAWA, ON. - The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers finished off the round robin portion of the Ottawa Senators Midget AAA Showcase Tournament with an impressive 3-1 record and allowing only 4 goals against in 4 games early on.

The Trappers won a pair of games on Saturday improving to 3-1 as they defeated the Eastern Ontario Wild 3-0 in the morning and then beat the Upper Canada Cyclones 2-1.

Tanner Davis got the shutout vs. the Wild and Josh Storie, Tyler Field and Devan Turcotte did the scoring in the win.

Kevin Kosturik and Dakota Barnhardt did the scoring in the 2-1 over the Cyclones.

The Trappers only loss was a 3-0 decision Friday against a team from Cornwall, P.E.I.

Miss the Quarters

Despite the 3-1 record the Trappers failed to make it to the quarter-final round. Still the results this weekend have to be a huge positive for the Trappers as they head back into GNML action next weekend as they head to Timmins for a pair of games against the Majors.
