Midget AAA Trappers fall to North Stars

The Sault Ste. Marie North Stars scored 3 goals in both the 1st and 2nd periods as they defeated the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers 7-3 at West Ferris arena on Saturday night. Ryan Vendramin paced the now 27-1 North Stars with a pair of goals.

Ryan Vendramin paced the now 27-1 North Stars with a pair of goals. Nick Trecroce, Jaron Rowe, Cody Caron, Matt Pinder and Nathan Hebert scored for the Stars.

Eric Champagne got the Trappers on the board with a 2nd period goal.

Tyler Kennedy and Nathaniel McLeod tried close the gap with goals in the final frame.

The loss leaves the Trappers in 6th spot with a 13-16-0-0-1 record - only one point behind the 5th place Nickel City Sons.

The Midget AAA Trappers are back on the ice Sundays afternoon when they face-off once again with the North Stars. Puck drop is 1:20 pm at West Ferris arena.
