Temiscaming Royals coach & G.M. Steve McCharles has been chosen to guide the Greater Metro Junior Hockey League All-Stars on a pair of U.S. College Hockey Tours.

McCharles, who has guided the Royals to seven straight wins to start the season in the club’s first year in the Greater Metro Junior “A” Hockey League, will be one of three coaches to lead the All-Star squad.

McCharles was thrilled to get the good news from the league head office.

“It’s an honor to have been asked,” said McCharles. “I think it’s a compliment to the whole organizing group in Temiscaming and credit has to go to the players, they play the game.”

The All-Stars will head to Potsdam, NY to play a number of U.S. Div. III schools from upstate New York on the October 12th weekend.

Later in the season, the All-Stars will head west where they will play some Division III schools from the state of Wisconsin.

The league has not announced the All-Star player roster yet but McCharles expects a number of Royals to join him on both tours.
