The Timmins Majors may not have battled back from a four goal deficit like they did in a 11-7 victory over the Trappers in September but the late comeback still seems to hurt just as bad.

Majors forward Jonathan Levesque scored the game winner shorthanded to give the visiting Majors a 5-4 win at West Ferris Sunday afternoon. Levesque picked up a rebound on the left wing and snapped it into an empty net past Knight.

David Carrier, Justin Kord, Eric Martineau and Ryan Wildman had the other goals for the Majors.

Michel Bedard, Kevin Kosturik, Dylan Staples and Josh Storie scored for the Trappers, with Storie scoring a go ahead goal to make it 4-3 Trappers midway through the final frame.

Midget AAA Trappers coach John Couch believes his club was victimized by some costly turnovers which led to their demise Sunday afternoon and Saturday night against the Soo.

"Turnovers just killed us," he admitted as the Majors scored a pair of shorthanded goals in the loss.

"It's our achilles heel. We give the puck away and that's why this team - at this stage of the game - has had trouble as far as I'm concerned. We compete hard, anybody that comes to the rink can see that but we are giving the puck away far too much and that's what cost us."

While workhorse goalie Tanner Davis is out with a concussion, Couch credits Mitchell Knight with a very impressive weekend despite being the two losses at home this weekend.

"We hung our goalie out to dry in both games and it's too bad," Couch said bluntly.

Trozzo hurt

Trappers forward Anthony Trozzo was taken to hospital by ambulance after being hit hard from behind by a Timmins player in the Majors zone in the third period. Trozzo was taken to hospital for X-rays on his left shoulder.
