The North Bay Battalion built up a 2-0 lead in the second period but could not hold on as they fell 3-2 to the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday night.

Justin Brazeau scored twice on the power play.  His first tally at 18:33 of the opening frame with helpers from Adam Thilander and Luke Burghardt.

Brazeau made it 2-0 on at 1:03 of the middle frame with assists from Thilander and Cam Dineen.

However, just over a minute later on another power play, Sean Durzi scored a shorthanded goal a 2:19 which made it 2-1.

It stayed that way until early in the third period when former Battalion defender Brady Lyle scored at 1:37 to make it 2-2.

The local product Lyle was traded to the Attack in exchange for Christian Propp and a swap of draft picks.

Zachary Roberts scored the eventual game-winner less than five minutes later.

Christian Purboo made 31 saves in the loss.

The road setback breaks a modest Battalion two-game winning streak and drops the Troops record to 5-7-2 on the season.
