Laperriere named NOJHL player of the week

The NOJHL announced that Skyhawks goalie Andre Laperriere has been namedthe Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, January 27th.
The NOJHL announced that Skyhawks goalie Andre Laperriere has been namedthe Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, January 27th. In picking up a pair of wins and a shootout loss, Laperriere turned aside 76 of the 82 shots he faced over three games.

The 20 year-old native of North Bay sits second only to the Soo Thunderbirds’ Ryan Dube in the league race for the lowest goals against average, with Laperriere (2.514) trailing Dube (2.484) by the slimmest of margins.

Other players receiving consideration for the award last week included North Bay forward Dustin Fummerton and Sault Ste. Marie sniper Brett Perlini.
