The Innsifil Lakers leave Temiscaming with a split in their semi-final series on the heels of their 3-1 win over the home Royals in front of a partisan crowd of 608.
Now the series shifts to Innsifil for a couple games over the Easter weekend, Friday evening and a return engagement Sunday afternoon.

Stephane Gunner brought the home crowd to their feet about midway through the first period on a wrist shot from the face off circle that had Lakers goalie Matt Treadwell confused. At about the 16 minute mark in a span of 25 seconds the visitors took a 2-1 lead on goals by Chase Tippin and Anton Holm. Referee Ted Conway was busy in the first period handing eight minor penalties with the Royals taking five.

Only one goal was scored in the second, Jonathen Dew scored on a Lakers power play.

The Royals held an advantage in shots in the second period but could not beat Treadwell, who definetely brought his "A" game on this night, making several game saving stops. Shots in the second favoured the Royals 17-12. The two teams played a scoreless third period. Only, because of the brilliant goaltending of both Treadwell and Royals Guillaume Piche did the scorekeeper not have to enter any more goals on the scoresheet.

Overall the Lakers outshot the Royals 38-32.
