It may not have been a win and a full three points, but the Nipissing Lakers Varsity Men's Soccer team did extend their unbeaten streak to five games thanks to a draw Saturday afternoon.

All the scoring came in the second half as Nipissing and the Queen’s Gaels battled to a 1-1 draw, each gaining a point in the standings.

The Lakers now sit at 3-2-4 on the season, with three home games remaining.

Their lone goal came early in the second half as Brandon TeBrake scored in his third straight game, giving him for total goals on the season.

Despite more chances from Nipissing, the Gaels tied the game up in the 69 th minute to draw even.

While the Lakers outchanced the Gaels and threatened a number of times, it was Queens who would come closest, hitting the post late in the game.

After a physical 90 minutes, both teams walked away with a point, looking ahead to games Sunday.

The Lakers, who are currently sitting in the final playoff spot, will host the RMC Paladins (1-8-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. on campus, at the Education Centre Field.
