Lady Trojans sweep Wildcats

The West Ferris Trojans defeated Widdifield 48-41 in NDA Senior Girls Basketball action on Tuesday night. Mckenzie Joyes played a strong game at both ends of the floor leading the way with a strong rebounding effort for the Trojans.

On the offensive side of the game the Trojans were led by 3 performers who stood out, Sarah Pledge netted 14 points, Ashley Zen pitched in with a 13-point effort and Aaron Paibomsai contributed 12 points before having to leave the game with an ankle injury.

For the Wildcats Meghan Harling had a game high of 18 points as she led all scorers on the night. Kristen Sheffield added 10 and Morgan Bonnah 7 points.

Junior Lady Trojans still unbeaten

The Junior Lady Trojans improved their record to 4-0 with a win over Widdifield last night 32-19.

The West Ferris squad led 17-5 at half time and went deep into their bench to start the 3rd quarter. All members of the team contributed to the win with Katie Sargent leading the way scoring 10 points, Kally Watmore contributed 7 points and Jen Leckie added 5. For the Wildcats Taylor Anderson and Katelin Hatherley scored 6 points.

The Lady Trojans Junior and Senior teams leave town to participate in a tournament in Elliot Lake this weekend.
